I have posted a few songs from “Ziddi” (1964) already. This was a Shammi Kapoor type movie ( Joy Mukherji and Asha Parekh starred in it). One major difference in this movie from other Shammi Kapoor type movie was that the music director was S D Burman in this movie.

S D Burman was a very senior music director. He started giving music in Bollywood movies as early as 1940s itself.

Here is a movie about which I had little idea. This movie “Miyaan Biwi Razi” (1960) starred Mehmood and Bharati. Neither the movie nor its music is familiar to me, but when I listened to this song from this movie today, I liked it.

Though Kishore Kumar had made his singing debut in “Ziddi”(1948) three years ago under the music direction of Khemchand Prakash, it was in 1950s that he was taken by S D Burman under his wings. It was then that Kishore Kumar developed his unique singing style.
