“Saltanat-1954” was directed by Dwarka Khosla for ‘Vikas Productions’. It had Shyama, Manhar Desai, Anwar, Sulochana, Neeru, Tripathi, B.M. Vyas, Babu Raje, Shanta Patel, Muhammad Ismail, D.R. Begam and others.
“Saltanat-1954” has six songs in it which were shared by two lyricists Gopal Singh Nepali- four songs and Anjum Jaipuri-two songs.
Music for this movie was composed by Chitragupt.
This movie was passed by Censor Board on 02.08.1954.
HFGK Vol-III (1951-1960) mentions in its foot-note for this movie that this movie was created under the supervision of Homi Wadia.
“Saltanat-1954” had made its debut on this blog on 17.04.2015 whern its ‘lovely song’ ‘ham thhe intezaar mein, ghaayal tere pyaar mein’ was presented by our respected Shri Sudhir Kapur ji. This song is in the voice of Asha Bhonsle.
The second song from this movie was presented by Shri Atul ji on 18.06.2018 which is ‘teer na talwaar se duniya maane pyaar se’ which also is another ‘fast paced’ song from this movie. This song is sung by Shamshad Begam.
Both the abovementioned songs from this movie have lyrics written by Gopal Singh Nepali.
Today we listen to the third song from this movie which is yet another ‘lovely-fast paced’ song sung by Shamshad Begam. ALyricist for this song is Anjum Jaipuri.
The ‘lilting’ music for the today’s song is composed by Chitragupt.
I wish to express my gratitude to the up-loader of the songs of this movie, which has provided us with the opportunity to bring them here.
I do not remember to have listened to the songs of this movie earlier. When I listened to this song in today’s post, I also listened to the earlier two songs of this movie which are already on the blog. I guess that the remaining songs of this movie must be interesting songs too. From the list I can say that the at least one of the remaining three is ‘special song’ for us. 🙂 Let us see when it is going to appear on the blog.
