Atul’s Song A Day- A choice collection of Hindi Film & Non-Film Songs

One two three four

Posted on: April 20, 2009

Though most Bollywood songs in 1950s were based on desi music ( classical and folk music), western music were also being introduced those days. C Ramchandra was one of the main pioneers who introduced western music in Bollywood. Another such pioneer was N Dutta.

“Black Cat” (1959) was a movie where N Datta composed a nice song which was very much a western song where lyrics played a rather rudimentaty role.

This song was a stage song, and gunshots are part of background music in this song. This song is picturised on a lady (can someone tell who she is) and Johny Walker. The song is sung by Suman Kalyanpur and Rafi. Jaan Nisaar has come up with the lyrics of this song.

Song- One two three four (Black Cat) (1959) Singers-Suman Kalyanpur, Rafi, Lyrics- Jaan Nisaar Akhtar, MD- N Datta

toone to dil ko hammare liye loot
ulta hain ko fansaaye arafosh

hat hat hat hat
hat ke munhjor
one two three four
