When it comes to Helen songs, this song from “Don” (1978) is perhaps one of the most well known Helen songs. Helen’s dance, Asha Bhonsle’s voice, Indeewar’s lyrics and Kalyanji Anandji’s music are all near perfect.
And let us not forget the picturisation. “Don” was the first Amitabh Bachchan movie that I watched as it was released (I had watched his earlier movies only few years after their release) and I was enthralled by this movie when I first watched this movie in a movie hall 31 years ago.

This song is picturised on Helen as well as Amitabh Bachchan. This movie turned out to be a milestone for Amitabh Bachchan because it was in this movie where he finally tempered his angry young man image by indulging in some wonderful dances.
