“Veer Babhruwaahan” (1950) is a movie about which very little is known today. The only think I know about this movie is that Mridula was the heroine of this movie. I am not sure about the identity of the hero. May be this song, which shows both of them will help readers of this blog to be able to identify the other actors of this movie.
This song is sung by four actors viz.heroine, her court musician (female),hero and his court musician (male). These four sing this love song which describe the feeling of falling in love when the eyes of the lovers meet.
The song is sung by four voices. Oner can identify Geeta Dutt (for heroine), Veenapani Mukherji (for her female musician) and Rafi (for the hero). The male singer singing for Hero’s musician is not known. Perhaps one of the readers of this blog can identify him.
The song is nice, but getting the lyrics of this song was a tall order, mainly because the audio of this song is too low to be audible. But once you get the lyrics right, one can enjoy listening to this song whole heartedly.
The song is written by Anjum Jaipuri and Chitragupta is the music director.

The singer lip syncing for actress playing Veena appears to be that of Amirbai Karnataki. I just listened to a couple of songs of Beenapani Mukherjee and I feel that her voice does not match in this song.
The second male voice seems to be of Chitragupt if I go by his voice in songs of ‘Sindbaad The Sailor’ (1952).
