Atul’s Song A Day- A choice collection of Hindi Film & Non-Film Songs

Ae mere dil mat kar kisi pe aitbaar

Posted on: July 16, 2010

When it comes to a movie called “Albelaa”, there have been two movies of this name. “Albelaa” (1952) , which had Bhagwan and Geeta Bali in lead roles was a mega hit. This movie was a musical blockbuster too. Another movie of the same name was released in 1971. This movie, which was produced by Mehmood was not a success at the box office, but this movie had some very nice songs in it. I have already posted one lovely song-Devta maanaa aur pooja teri tasweer ko (Albelaa) – from this movie.

Here is another outstanding song from this movie. This song- “Ae mere dil mat kar kisi pe aitbaar” has a happy version and a sad version. Both these versions are sung by Kishore Kumar and picturised on Mehmood. The picturisation of the happy version is done on the well known locations of Bombay, viz Gateway of India, and it is interesting to notice that the area around Gateway of India had far lesser number of buildings that what it is today.

The song is written by Hasrat Jaipuri and music is composed by Shankar Jaikishan.

This is a superb song to listen to. Farmaish for this song was given by Dr Mohan Doshi.

Part I (happy/ faster version)

Part II (sad/slower version)

song- ae mere dil mat kar kisi pe aitbaar (Albelaa) (1971) Singer-Kishore Kumar, Lyrics-Hasrat Jaipuri, MD-Shankar Jaikishan

Lyrics

Part I (happy/ faster version)

ae mere dil
mat kar kisi pe aitbaar
har qadam pe hain dhokhe hazaar
ae mere dil
mat kar kisi pe aitbaar
har qadam pe hain dhokhe hazaar
ae mere dil
huhuh

albele aazaad parinde
masti mein tu gaataa chal
pea le khaa le pyaar kaa daanaa
jhoom-jhoom lahraataa chal
arre
pea le khaa le pyaar kaa daanaa
jhoom-jhoom lahraataa chal
ae mere dil
mat kar kisi pe aitbaar
har qadam pe hain dhokhe hazaar
ae mere dil
mat kar kisi pe aitbaar
har qadam pe hain dhokhe hazaar
ae mere dil

nirdhan ki koyi baat na poochhe
daulat ke sab bande hain
manmaani karte hain zaalim
aankhen rakh kar andhe hain
arre manmaani karte hain zaalim
aankhen rakh kar andhe hain
ae mere dil
mat kar kisi pe aitbaar
har qadam pe hain dhokhe hazaar
ae mere dil
mat kar kisi pe aitbaar
har qadam pe hain dhokhe hazaar
ae mere dil
huhuh

part II (Sad/ slower version)

ae mere dil
mat kar kisi pe aitbaar
har qadam pe hain dhokhe hazaar
ae mere dil
mat kar kisi pe aitbaar
har qadam pe hain dhokhe hazaar
ae mere dil

parchhaayi ko kisne pakdaa
kaam bhalaa kab aayi hai
isse pyaar ki aas na rakh tu
duniya khud parchhaayi hai
arre isse pyaar ki aas na rakh tu
duniya khud parchhaayi hai
ae mere dil
mat kar kisi pe aitbaar
har qadam pe hain dhokhe hazaar
ae mere dil

apni qismat aap banaa le
apna aap sahaaraa ban
apni raahen khud chamkaa le
tu bhi ek sitaaraa ban
arre apni raahen khud chamkaa le
tu bhi ek sitaaraa ban
ae mere dil
mat kar kisi pe aitbaar
har qadam pe hain dhokhe hazaar
ae mere dil

ATUL

thanks a lot for posting this lovely song, a favorite of mine.

I wonder how a simple song can make a person so contented and happy! No wonder Shakespeare said, “If music be the food of love play on”.

Kishore da has sung the song superbly, particularly if you note the pitch in both the versions, how difficult it is to bring this variation.

har kadam pe dhoke honge hazaar,
par atul pe hume hain aitbaar.

shukriya
