Meri aankhon se koi neend liye jaataa hai

on:I have heard this song from my early years, but at that time I was not aware about the details of this song. Moreover, as a pre teen kid, I was not into such kind of songs and so I did not appreciate this song at that time.
Now, after some four decades or so, I have come to know that this song is from “Pooja Ke Phool” (1964).
Here is this song which is sung by Lata and it is picturised on Mala Sinha. Rajinder Krishan is the lyricist. Listening to this song, it is not difficult to guess that Madan Mohan is the music director. Yes, this song is another Lata- Madan Mohan gem.

Song-Meri aankhon se koi neend liye jaataa hai (Pooja Ke Phool) (1964) Singer-Lata, Lyrics-Rajinder Krishan, MD-Madan Mohan
Lyrics
meri aankhon se koi neend liye jaata hai
meri aankhon se koi neend liye jaata hai
door se pyaar ka paighaam diye jaata hai
meri aankhon se koi neend liye jaata hai
raat bhar jaagenge ham
tumse chhup chhup ke sanam
raat bhar jaagenge ham
tumse chhup chhup ke sanam
aankh jhapke na kabhi
chaand taaron ki kasam
dil mera aaj ye iqraar kiye jaataa hai
door se pyaar ka paighaam diye jaataa hai
meri aankhon se koi neend liye jaata hai
baat jo unse chali
wo idhar aake ruki
baat jo unse chali
wo idhar aake ruki
naam jab unka liyaa
ek khushboo si udi
ek tasawwur hai jo madhosh kiye jaataa hai
door se pyaar ka paighaam diye jaataa hai
meri aankhon se koi neend liye jaata hai

I agree with your comments on one of the favorite Lata / Madan Mohan classics.
Atul, you are on the mark when you say: “Listening to this song, it is not difficult to guess that Madan Mohan is the music director.” It is not because he has an affinity for a particular rhythm like the horse-hoof beat or has a favorite raga… it is the enduring quality of the composition that stands out.
I want to mention to you that it might be of help to you that I have created a catalog of almost all the Madan Mohan song-videos available on YouTube in the form of six Play Lists: three divided by year 1950-59, 1960-69 and 1970-2009 and three more divided by my rating of the songs, Platinum, Gold, and Silver. I should point out that there are over 300 different Madan Mohan composed songs in the Play Lists mentioned above and I have included mutiple versions in some cases, which may bring the total to over 400! If you have any suggestions or if you know some songs that I missed, I will appreciate your input.

One of the killer songs of Madan Mohan-Lata combination. The assault is cold blooded, easy, pleasurable and the ‘Ghaa’ of ‘Paighaam’ finishes every pulse. Signature of Lata is all over the song and is impossible to recreate by any living being. Thanks a ton Atul.
