Atul’s Song A Day- A choice collection of Hindi Film & Non-Film Songs

Aise to na dekho

Posted on: March 10, 2011

“Bheegi Raat” (1965) is a movie starring Pradeep Kumar and Meena Kumari. This movie is mainly known to me for its superb romantic songs.

I have discussed two songs from this movie in the past. Here is another song from this movie.

This song is a romantic duet. It is sung by Rafi and Suman Kalyanpur. It is picturised on Pradeep Kumar and Meena Kumari. Majrooh Sultanpuri is the lyricist. Music is composed by Roshan.

This is a lovely song, which is nicely picturised too. The singing, the lyrics, the music, the picturisation, all that makes it a great song to listen to (and watch).

Song-Aise to na dekho (Bheegi Raat) (1965) Singers-Rafi, Suman Kalyanpur, Lyrics-Majrooh Sultanpuri, MD-Roshan

Lyrics

aise to na dekho
ke bahak jaayen kahin ham
aakhir ko ik insaan hain
farishtaa to nahin ham
haay,
aise na kaho baat
ke mar jaayen yahin ham
aakhir ko ik insaan hain
farishtaa to nahin ham

angdaayi si leti hai jo
khushboo bhari zulfen
khushboo bhari zulfen
girti hai tere surkh
labon par teri zulfen
labon par teri zulfen
zulfen na teri choom len
zulfen na teri choom len
ae maahjabeen ham
aakhir ko ik insaan hain
farishtaa to nahin ham
aa ha ha
aa aa
hmm hmm hmm
hmm hmm

sun sun ke teri baat
nashaa chhaane lagaa hai
nashaa chhaane lagaa hai
khud apne pe bhi pyaar saa kuchh
aane lagaa hai
aane lagaa hai
rakhnaa hai kahin paanv to
rakhnaa hai kahin paanv to
rakhte hain kahin ham
aakhir ko ik insaan hain
farishtaa to nahin ham

bheega sa rukhe naaz
ye halka sa paseena
ye halka sa paseena
haay
ye naachti aankhon ke bhanwar
dil ka safeenaa
dil ka safeenaa
socha hai ke ab doob ke
socha hai ke ab doob ke
rah jaayen yahin ham
aakhir ko ek insaan hain
farishtaa to nahin ham
haay,
aise na kaho baat
ke mar jaayen yahin ham
aakhir ko ik insaan hain
farishtaa to nahin ham
aa haa haa aa aaa
hmm hmm hmm hmm hmm
hmm hmm hmm hmm hmm
hmm hmmm hmm hmm hmm

Lovely song:)

Pure nostalgia. Beautiful song. However really surprised and disappointed to see another gem from this movie JAANE WO KAUN HAIN KYA NAAM, is missing from the movie list.

Please add this song also, and I guarantee you Atul if you listen to this song just ones, you will fall in love with it.
