Le chal le chal mere jeewan saathhi

Posted on: March 18, 2011

Here is a song that wears many hats. this song is a romantic/love song. In addition, this song is also a jeep song, and also an “elephant” song. Yes, the protagonists of this song, viz Jeetendra and Aparna Sen are expressing their love for each other while driving on a jeep and also while riding an elephant.

This song is from “Vishwaas” (1969). This extremely hummable song is sung by Mukesh and Hemlata. This must be one of the earliest songs sung by Hemlata in Hindi movies.

Gulshan Bawraa is the lyricist and music is composed by Kalyanji Anandji.

Lyrics

le chal
le chal mere jeewan saathi
le chal mujhe us duniyaa mein
pyaar hi pyaar hai jahaan
aaa aaa
ham tum
ham tum janmon ke saathi
ham tum hon jis duniyaa mein
pyaar hi pyaar hai wahaan
aaa
le chal

jab se nazar mein aap base hain
jab se nazar mein aap base hain
masti si chhaayi hai aankhon mein
chhaayi rahe ye masti
bas jaaye dil ki basti
mehki rahe waadiyaan
aaa aaa
le chal
le chal mere jeewan saathi
le chal mujhe us duniyaa mein
pyaar hi pyaar hai jahaan
aaa aaa
le chal

preet kaa bandhan baandh ke tumne
preet kaa bandhan baandh ke tumne
preet pe hi upkaar kiyaa hai
ab ye bandhan na toote
yug yug ye saath na chhoote
chaltaa rahe yoon kaarvaan
aaa aaa
le chal
le chal mere jeewan saathi
le chal mujhe us duniyaa mein
pyaar hi pyaar hai jahaan
aaa aaa
ham tum
ham tum janmon ke saathi
ham tum hon jis duniyaa mein
pyaar hi pyaar hai wahaan
aaa aaa
le chal
