on:“Bedard Zamaanaa Kyaa Jaane” (1959) was a B grade movie starring Ashok Kumar, Nirupa Roy,Sudesh Kumar, Jabeen Jaleel etc. This movie is quite significant from music point of view. It was with this movie that Kalyanji Veerji Shah made his debut as an independent music director. Till then, he was assisting to other senior music directors viz Hemant Kumar etc. After another movie (Madaari), Kalyanji was joined by his younger brother Anandji and they formed the by now legendary musical partnership known as Kalyanji Anandji.
“Bedard Zamaana Kyaa Jaane” (1959) has several nice songs in it. I have so far discussed three songs from this movie including the iconic song Qaid mein hai bulbul saiyyad muskuraaye .
Here is another nice song from this movie. This song is a piano song cum get together song. It is sung by Mukesh and the song is lip synced by Sudesh Kumar. The picturisation also shows the pretty Jabeen Jaleel dancing on this song while Ashok Kumar is seated at the grand piano.
Bharat Vyas is the lyricist of this somg.

Lyrics
nainaa hain jaadoo bhare
ho goree tore nainaa hain jaadoo bhare
ho hampe chhup-chhup zulm karen
ho goree tore nainaa hain jaadoo bhare
ho tere nainaa hain jaadoo bhare
ho goree tore nainaa hain jaadoo bhare
teer chalen par dekh na paayen
chhup-chhup vaar karen
teer chalen par dekh na paayen
chhup-chhup vaar karen
ho
kajraa lagaa ke nazren ghumaa ke
seene ke paar karen
haay tere nainaa hain jaadoo bhare
ho goree tore nainaa hain jaadoo bhare
ho hampe chhup-chhup zulm karen
ho goree tore nainaa hain jaadoo bhare
bhole-bhaale mad ke pyaale
chhalak-chhalak chhalken
bhole-bhaale mad ke pyaale
chhalak-chhalak chhalken
ho ho
dekh adaa teree dil chhailon ke
rah jaayen jal-jal ke
haay tere nainaa hain jaadoo bhare
ho goree tore nainaa hain jaadoo bhare
ho hampe chhup-chhup zulm karen
ho goree tore nainaa hain jaadoo bhare

Unfortunately, I just realized that this link you have given has dropped the best part of the opening music! Btw, that is Sudesh Kumar at the piano!

Just a point of fact which you may like to cross check again. I thought Kalyanji Virji Shah’s debut film was Samrat Chandragupt (1958). Your blog also includes this film under 1958 and lists its five songs, some very famous such as Chahe paas ho chahe door ho.

Since this is a happy song, I take it that your fav team is winning, Atul! Just a couple of days back, I was singing this song, checked this blog, found it wasn’t there, so had thought of dropping in with a farmaish, but as usual, got engrossed in some other song, and forgot about it till today! I remember hearing this song and liking it, long before I knew enough to understand what the lyrics were, just because I liked the music at the start of the song. Thanks, Atul!
