“Magroor” (1950) is quite a nice and wonderful movie. I became aware of this movie thanks to its review in Memsaab’s blog. I loved this movie.
The music of this song is lovely too. I have since discussed all the songs from this movie that I could find.
It appears that this movie originally had Sajjad Hussain as the music director. But after recording two soongs, Sajjad Hussain walked off from the movie. The remaining songs of this movie were composed by Bulo C Rani and Ram Panjwani.
The print of the movie that Memsaab discussed had two songs missing in it. One of them (music by Bulo C Rani) was available in youtube and I have discussed that.
One of the two missing songs was composed by Sajjad Hussain. My search has finally led me to this song. Only the audio is available, but something is better than nothing, especially when it comes to compositions by Sajjad Hussain.
Here is this song from “Magroor” (1950). It is sung by Shamshad Begam. Raja Mehdi ali Khan is the lyricist. Music is composed by Sajjad Hussain.
