The music of “Aag” (1948) is something that I can ever have enough of. The music of the songs of this movie is lovely and archtypically ancient, and at the same time timeless, as far as I am concerned.
I had read about this song from “Aag” (1948) but I had never heard this song before. I was looking for this song for more than two years. Finally I managed to get hold of this song. The song fullly lived upto my expectation.
Here is this lovely and delightful song. It is sung by Mukesh and Sailesh Mukherji. Since only the audio of this song is available, so I am not sure how this song is picturised in the movie.
Saraswati Kumar Deepak is the lyricist and music is composed by Ram Ganguly.

Atul ji,
The other day,when I was browsing thru the Geet Kosh for some other reference,I read a comment by Harmandir Hamraj,wherein he had said that singer SAILESH MUKHERJEE (Aag,Naya Kadam etc.) is the same person who acted as Hero in films like PYAR KI PYAS(1961),Miya Biwi Razi(1960) etc,but in the name of SHRIKANT GAURAV.
I think it is an unique thing.
I had made a note of this fact in my scrape book.When I saw today the name of Sailesh Mukherjee,I remembered this.I thought,I would share it with our readers.
