“Bambai Ka Chor” (1962) is a movie starring Kishore Kumar, Mala Sinha, Jagdish Raj, Brahm Bhardwaj etc. This movie is apparently a suspense thriller.
Here is a lovely stage song/party song from this movie. It is sung by Asha Bhonsle with gusto. Rajinder Krishan is the lyricist and music is composed by Ravi.
It is a delightful “western” sounding song, something that one normally does not associate with Ravi. Or is it so ? It was Ravi who came up with the fantastic Aage bhi jaane na tu(Waqt)(1965) a few years later, so it means that Ravi could indeed come up with great “western” tunes if the situation so demanded. Memsaab, who like me, is a big fan of Ravi rates this song as one of the best creations of Ravi in her opinion, and that is saying something.

As far as I remember, Skating scene was in HALF TICKET.
In Dilli ka Thug,it was water ballet,as Nutan is supposed to be a swimming champion.

hi all
as i was seeing this song i was reminded of a similar song picturised on Nutan in “dilli ka thug” i think in which there is a lot of ice skating. and my dad had once told me that there was an ice skating show held in Bombay (as it used to be called then) on a specially prepared rink and that particular Nutan song was shot there. is this the same song i don’t know. as the face of the lead dancer is not clear. but we can see a “mouched” Kishore Kumar towards the end of the song.
