O more sajnaa o more balmaa

Posted on: September 5, 2011

“Baharon Ke Sapne” (1967) was one of the first movies of Rajesh Khanna ant it was released in 1967, which was the debut year for Rajesh Khanna. In this movie he was paired opposite Asha Parekh, with whom he would go on to act in quite a few other movies as well.

Here is a song from this movie, which is picturised on Asha Parekh, rajesh Khanna and many other ladies. In this movie, Asha Parekh plays a labourer and she sings this “expression of love” song for Rajesh Khanna, much to the amusement of her giggling female colleagues.

The song is sung by Lata. Majrooh Sultanpuri is the lyricist. Music is composed by R D Burman.

It is a nicely sung song, which is picturised just as heart meltingly.

The lyrics of this song were sent to me by Prakashchandra.

Lyrics(Provided by Prakashchandra)

O more sajnaa
o more balmaa
ab bideswaa
jaiyyo naaaa
o more sajnaa
o more balmaa
ab bideswaa jaiyyon na
aaa
taras taraske, beete baras din
aur mohe
tarsaiyyo naa
O more sajnaa

jis rut mein tum chhod gaye thhey
wo rut bhi haaye raam thi pehli
man ki jalan ka pehlaa din tha
birhaa ki wo shaam thhi pehli
usee shaam ko bujhaake diye
bahut royee main tumhaare liye
o more sajnaa
o more balmaa…
ab bideswaa
jaiyyo naa
o more sajnaa

meri to daulat ,
tum ho balamwaa
jaise rakhoge,
waise rahoongi
maili chunar jab dekhengi sakhiyaan
hans doongi aur kuchch na kahoongi
ke har haal mein rahoongi magan
tumhen dekh kar jeeyoongi sajan
o more sajna
O more balmaa
ab bideswaa jaiyyo naa
taras taraske beete baras din
aur mohe tarsaiyyo naaaaaaa
aaaa
Hmmm hmmmmm hmmmmm
O more sajnaaaa
