Tere pyaar ko iss tarah se bhulaanaa

“Maine Jeena Seekh Liya” (1959) is a movie which was produced by Filmistan. It was directed by Satish Nigam and the star cast had names like Ameeta, Ravindra Kapoor, Durga Khote, Agha, Badri Prasad, P.Kailash, Kanu Roy etc in it.
The movie as well as its songs have been forgotten with time.
Here is a lovely song from this movie. It is sung by Mukesh and like most Mukesh compositions, it is wonderful to listen to. Raahil Gorakhpuri is the lyricist. Music is composed by Roshan.
Only the audio of this song is available and so it is difficult to make a guess about the picturisation of this song.
Lyrics of this song were sent to me by Prakashchandra.

Lyrics(Provided by Prakashchandra)
tere pyaar ko iss tarahe se bhulaanaa
na dil chaahtaa hai
na hum chaahte hain
tere pyaar ko iss tarah se bhulaanaa
na dil chaahtaa hai
na hum chaahte hain
jo such thaa usse
ek fasaanaa banaanaa
na dil chaahtaa hai
na hum chaahte hain
woh masoom soorat
woh bholi nigaahein
rahengi sadaa dil mein
aabaad hokar
na poori huyee jo
usee aarzoo mein
milegaa hamein chain
barbaad hokar
ke ujdi huyee zindagi ko basaanaa
na dil chaahtaa hai
na hum chaahte hain
tere pyaar ko iss tarah se bhulaanaa
na dil chaahtaa hai
na hum chaahte hain
samajh mein na aayaa
ke har ek khushi se
ye dil aaj bezaar kyun ho gayaa hai
tere gham mein behte
huye aansoon se
na jaane hamein pyaar
kyun ho gayaa hai
ke bhoole se bhi
ab kabhi muskuraanaa
na dil chaahtaa hai
na hum chaahte hain
tere pyaar ko iss tarah se bhulaanaa
na dil chaahta hai
na hum chaahte hain
jo such thaa usse
ek fasaanaa banaanaa
na dil chaahtaa hai
na hum chaahte hain

Beautiful music and absolutely haunting lyrics. the music is so melliflous and so much in the background and Mukesh vocals predominate and shine. Thanks to Roshan Saab and Mukesh.. we are still savoring the music decades after they have gone.
