I realised it recently that the songs of “Sangam” (1964), which was a musical extravaganza of its time, are under represented in the blog. So far only four songs from this movie have been discussed and several well known songs from the movie are still at large.
Here is one such song. This song is sung by Mukesh and it is picturised on Raj Kapoor and Vyjyanti Mala. Watching the picturisation is nice, but one is left rather unsatisfied on watching the video, since the video song misses one stanza. So one needs to listen to the complete audio version of the song too after watching the video.
Hasrat Jaipuri is the lyricist. Music is composed by Shankar Jaikishan.

My father was a big Mukesh fan, and he used to watch the movie Sangam many a times when he was in Malaysia. Songs from this movie bring back a lot of memories and is nostalgic for me. Thank you Atul Ji!
