“Aankhen” (1950) was produced and directed by Devendra Goel. This movie had Shekhar, Nalini Jaiwant, Bharat Bhushan, Cuckoo, Anwari, Yakub, Yashodhara Katju, Bhudo Advani etc in it.
This movie is today remembered as the debut movie of Madan Mohan as a music director. This movie had some nice songs in it. I have discussed as many as five songs from this movie in the past. I thought that almost all the songs from this movie were already discussed, but I was wrong. A few songs from this movie are yet to be discussed.
Here is another song from “Aankhen” (1950). It is sung by Shamshad Begam. Raja Mehdi Ali Khan is the lyricist.
I am unable to identify the lady lip syncing the song. She appears like Yashodhara Katju to me, but I could be totally wrong in my identification. So I request our knowledgeable readers to help identify the actress.

The YouTube video
“HAMSE NAINA NA MILAANA”BY MUKESH & SHUMSHAD,M:MADAN MOHAN-“AANKHEN-1950”
has Yashodhra Katju according to some commenters (the audio is bad, so I did not link it). Seems quite different from the lady here.

To be more specific Yashodhara Katju`s Chin bahut “pichka” huaa lagtha hai aur unnka forehead soojha huaa ssa dikhtha hai.:)
This lady in the song got more masculine frame, that`s why I think she is not Yashodhara Katju,she may be Anwari Bai
I am very bad at communicating,:( that`s why I use these “gharelu”words.

First line of first stanza sounds like-
hamesha ke liye duniya mein do dil mil nahi sakte
instead of
humen chaahte liye………..

I hope that I have not offended anybody above. I know only a few Hindi words but love the songs I heard in my childhood; in forties and fifties. I am rediscovering them in old age mostly through this blog. Many of the songs seem familiar but I do not know the names of the personalities involved. I found about the interesting lives of Shanta Apte and Snehprabha Pradhan, names not familiar to me though some of the songs are, through this blog.

I am sure she is NOT Yashodhara Katju,(Yashodhara had a small oval shaped face and shape of her mouth is somewhat different and distinct, if my memory serves me right.
She may be Anwari Bai.
And the hero & heroine shown indoor in picturisation of the song is Shekhar & Nalini Jayawant.
Please correct me If I am wrong.

She could be Anwari Bai, but I am not sure.
