Pyaar aankhon se jataaya to buraa maan gaye

Posted on: July 12, 2012

Today (12th july) is the death anniversary of Rajendra Kumar. On this occasion, I have several songs to chose from, time permitting.

Here is a song from “Aayi Milan Ki Bela” (1964). It is sung by Rafi and it is picturised on Rajendra Kumar and Saira Bano.

Hasrat Jaipuri is the lyricist. Music is composed by Shankar Jaikishan.

Lyrics of this song were sent to me by Khyati Bhatt.

Song-Pyaar aankhon se jataaya to bura maan gaye (Aayi Milan Ki Bela)(1964) Singer-Rafi, Lyrics-Hasrat Jaipuri, MD-Shankar Jaikishan

Lyrics(Provided by Khyati Bhatt)

bura maan gaye
to bura maan gaye
pyaar aankhon se jataaya
to bura maan gaye
pyaar aankhon se jataaya
to bura maan gaye
haal e dil humne sunaaya
to bura maan gaye

apne gajare ke har ek phool ki taareef suni
apne gajare ke har ek phool ki taareef suni
zakhm e dil humne dikhaaya
to bura maan gaye
pyaar aankhon se jataaya
to bura maan gaye

wo to har roz rulaate hain
ghataaon ki tarah
wo to har roz rulaate hain
ghataaon ki tarah
humne ek roz rulaaya
to bura maan gaye
pyaar aankhon se jataya
to bura maan gaye

bekhudi par meri hanste rahey sharmaate rahey
bekhudi par meri hanste rahey sharmaate rahey
ab zara hosh mein aaya
to bura maan gaye
pyaar aankhon se jatayya
to bura maan gaye

sirf itni si khata par hamen dushman jaana
sirf itni si khata par hamen dushman jaana
sar ko kadmon mein jhukaaya
to bura maan gaye
pyaar aankhon se jataaya
to bura maan gaye
haal e dil humne sunaaya
to bura maan gaye

Rajendra Kumar’s name brings to mind the memories of so many beautiful films and songs. Despite never being famous for his acting skills, he managed to be at the top of his game.

This is one of his good songs.
