Morni ne seekhaa

Posted on: August 13, 2012

Today (13 august) happens to be the birthday of not just Vyjyanti mala but also Sridevi. On this occasion, here is a song picturised on Sridevi.

This song is sung by Asha Bhonsle and chorus. It is picturised on Sridevi, Mithun Chakraborty and others as a stage dance song. Indeewar is the lyricist. Music is composed by Rajesh Roshan.

This song is from “Jaag Uthhaa Insaan” (1984) which was a Film Kraft (Private) India Ltd presentation. It was produced by Rakesh Roshan and directed by K Vishwanath. The movie had Rakesh Roshan, Mithun Chakraborty, Sridevi,Sujeet Kumar, Somayajulu, Beena, Sudhir Dalvi, Deven Verma, Kanan Kaushal, Surekha, Paintal, Master Subramaniam etc.

Lyrics of this song were sent to me by Prakashchandra.

Vaijayanti and Sri…both are celebrating their b’day on same day…how wonderful!!
Both ladies are highly gifted and each one is so individual and have given us hours of entertainment.
After all, it’s all about performance, personality and attributes however, both actresses are equally great!!
Happy b’day to both of these lovely ladies.:)

I feel V.Mala was a better actress because she picked up Hindi language very quickly and from her 3rd film itself, she stopped taking dubbing for her dialogues, whereas SriDevi, even after first 40 films was hasitant to do her own dialogues in Hindi in films.
Though knowing Hindi fluently is not a test of Histrionics, but certainly is a part of the efforts to become a complete independent actor.

According to me, this is a very good movie, which has got very good performances by both Sridevi and Mithun Chakraborthy(one of Mithun`s superb performance as a silent Harijan flutist, who silently loves Brahmin dancer Sridevi).

Sridevi`s classical dances and silent acting in this movie also extrordinary.

This movie has got exceptional, soothing musical compositions by Rajesh Roshan, but was not successful at box office.

On the sets of this movie, Mithun and Sridevi came closer and almost got married, according to Trade gossip magazines.

Rakesh Roshan who produces mostly movies starting with his favourite alphabet “K”, for this movie and Bhagwan dada(also starring Sridevi, Hritik Roshan as a child artiste) left his “K” and got unsuccessful ventures in his hand.

This is a remake of Telugu famous movie “Saptapadi”(1981)

The director of this movie is very famous in South Indian movie
industry , who directed famous Telugu musicals like
Shakarabharanam(which later made in Hindi as SurSangam starring Girish Karnad,Jayaprada)
Sagar Sangamam(Starring Kamal Hassan,Jayaprada)
Swati Kiranam
Swati Muthyam etc etc.

Hindi movies directed by K.Vishwanath
Sargam(Rishi Kapoor,Jayaprada)
Dhanwan(Ajay Devgan,Manisha Koirala,Karishma Kapoor)
Sur Sangam(Girish Karnad,Jayaprada)
Eeshwar(Anil Kapoor, VijayaShanthi)
Kaamchor(Rakesh Roshan,Jayaprada)
Shubhkaamna(Rati Agnihothri,Rakesh Roshan,Utpal Dutt)
Aurat Aurat Aurat(Rekha,Rakesh Roshan,Sadashiv Amrapurkar)
Sangeet(Madhuri Dixit,Jackie Shroff)

All above well directed movies got very good music and very good stories.

And all of the above movies only marginally successful

Sargam was a superhit, 3rd highest grossing movie of 1979 after Suhaag and Jaani Dushman. Also won the best music director of the year filmfare for Laxmi-Pyare.

Among your list, I have seen only Eeshawar…I like that movie…
the direction of that movie I can compare with Guide.
It was that good of a directorial movie.
thanks for your update…

Somewhere I read Raj Kapoor liked the story of Swati Mutyam(Kamal Hassan,Radhika starrer), which is the original of Eeshwar, very much.

Yes, I like the story of Eeshwar too…as story potrays the male character as a little bit goofy…and Raj kapoor mostly has played his role as a “kallu qawwal”. a guy with a little sense…so he might have interest in this story.
But Anil Kapoor did the justice to this role, too ..after all it’s what director says and actor do it.

Nowadays she takes utmost pains to look like a typical Tamilian housewife. No wonder as she had to look like a typical North Indian girl in her Hindi film carrer and no scope to look like a tamilian.

Iss gaane ke tag mein movie kaa naam “Jaag utha insaan” Ke badle wrongly “Insaan jaag uthaa” aisaa likhaa hai.
Issee wajah se ye gaanaa “list of songs movie wise” mein wrongly “Insaan jaag uthaa” movie kaa hai, aisaa dikhthaa hai,

Please, whenever you find time Correct keejiye.
