Atul’s Song A Day- A choice collection of Hindi Film & Non-Film Songs

Tu aaye na aaye teri khushi

Posted on: February 1, 2013

“Bewafa”(1952) was an Art Centre Production. It was directed by M L Anand. The movie had Ashok Kumar, Raj Kapoor, Nargis, Neelam, Siddiqui etc in it.

Two songs from this movie have been discussed in the past. Here is the third song from this movie. This song is sung by Talat Mehmood. It is picturised on Raj Kapoor who is shown lip syncing this song seated on a bench outside Nargis’s home. There is considerable distance between the two and Talat Saab is known to sing in a low soft voice, still his voice reaches its target audience loud and clear. 🙂

Sarshar Sailani is the lyricist. Music is composed by A R Qureshi.

Lyrics of this song were sent to me by Khyati Bhatt.

Song-Tu aaye na aaye teri khushi(Bewafa)(1952) Singer-Talat Mehmood, Lyrics-Sarsar Sailaani, MD-A R Qureshi

Lyrics(Provided by Khyati Bhatt)

tu aaye na aaye teri khushi
tu aaye na aaye teri khushi
hum aas lagaaye baithhe hain
deedar ki pyaasi aankhon mein
deedar ki pyaasi aankhon mein
toofaan chhupaaye baithhe hain
tu aaye na aaye teri khushi

ae dard e mohabbat teri kasam
dil humne lagaake dekh liya
ae dard e mohabbat teri kasam
dil humne lagaake dekh liya
ashkon ki jubaani kisse gham
duniya ko sunaake dekh liya aa aa
gairon se gila kya apne hi
gairon se gila kya apne hi
jab aankh churaaye baithhe hain
gairon se gila kya apne hi
jab aankh churaaye baithhe hain
tu aaye na aaye teri khushi

itna to bataade o zaalim
ab nazron se kyun door hai tu
itna to bataade o zaalim
ab nazron se kyun door hai tu
milna hi tujhe manzoor nahin
kya meri tarah majboor hai tu u u
tu kehde agar to uthh jaayen
tu kehde agar to uthh jaayen
hum tere bithhaaye baithhe hain
tu kehde agar to uthh jaaye
hum tere bithaaye baithhe hain
tu aaye na aaye teri khushi
