on:“Shaadi” (1941) is by now a forgotten movie. This movie was produced by Jayant Desai for Ranjit Films. It had Khurshid, Ishwarlal, Madhuri, Motilal, Ghori etc in it.
Here is one the earlist Holi songs in Hindi movies from this movie. This by now forgotten song is a delight to listen to. It is sung by Khursheed and Ishwarlal. Munshi Dil is the lyricist. Music is composed by Khemchand Prakash.
Lyrics of this song were sent to me by Nitin Shah.
Song-Bhigoyi mori saadi re (Shaadi)(1941) Singer-Khursheed, Ishwarlal, Lyrics-Munshi Dil, MD-Khemchand Prakash
Lyrics(Lyrics by Nitin Shah)
bhigoyi mori saadi re ae
dekho bheege na choli
bhigoyi mori saadi re
dekho bheege na choli
sambhal sambhal ke pichkaariwaale
sambhal sambhal ke pichkaariwaale
khelo ham se holi
bhigoyi mori saadi re
khelo ham se holi
bhigoyi mori saadi re ae
dekho bheege na choli
bhigoyi mori saadi re
dekho bheege na choli
jug jug khelen tumse holi
bhar gayi aaj mann ki jholi
jug jug khele tum se holi
bhar gai aaj mann ki jholi
tann mann khele re mann ke raja
tann mann khele re mann ke raja
holi ke din teri holi
bhigoyi mori saadi re
holi ke din teri holi
bhigoyi mori saadi re,
dekho bheege na choli
bhigoyi mori saadi re,
dekho bheege na choli
tann naache mann naache ho gori
tann naache mann naache ho gori
mohe nahin kachhu abb sudh mori
mohe nahin kachhu abb sudh mori
nainon mein naina jagaaye balam ne
nainon mein naina jagaaye balam ne
maare sharam naahin boli
na boli na boli
maare sharam naahin boli
na boli na boli
bhigoyi mori saadi re
dekho bheege na choli
bhigoyi mori saadi re,
dekho bheege na choli

I hope he is the same person who directed Mulaquat in 1947. He also wrote its lyrics sharing it with Quamar Jalalabadi who wrote just the two of them. I think later, he went to Pakistan and directed a number of films there, starting with Gul Bakawli in 1961; that being the first Pak film. Arun Deshmukhji, kindly confirm.

In Shadi film produced by Ranjit movieton, there was song sung by
Khurshid ‘Hari ke goon, Prabhu ke goon, gavun mein’ was very popular
and melodious song. It should be also included in this cyclopaedia of songs.
