Baaje mori paayal thhunnak thhunnak

Posted on: April 4, 2013

“Suhaagraat” (1948) was an Oriental Pictures production. It was directed by Kidar Sharma. The movie had Bharat Bhushan, Begam Para, Geeta Bali, Maruti etc in it.

Three songs from this movie have been discussed in the past. Here is the fourth song from this movie. the picturisation shows Geeta Bali, playing a shepherd, making Bharat Bhushan carry her across a water stream while some other ladies sing this song. The song is sung by Rajkumari and Geeta Dutt and they sing the entire song in tandem.

Kidar Sharma is the lyricist. Music is composed by Snehal Bhatkar.

Lyrics of this song were sent to me by Nitin Shah.

Dear Atulji

I can’t see the video link for many postings, including this one. I saw the link for a second and it soon disappeared and all I could see was a black rectangle. Please advise what could be the problem. Many thanks. P. S. SESHADRI
