“Naatak” (1947) was produced by AR Kardar and directed by S U Sunny under the banner of Kardar Productions. The movie had Suraiyaa, Amar, Sofia, Kanwar, Sham Kumar, Pratima Devi, Nazir Bedi, Amir Ali, Suleiman, Murtaza, Nazir Ahmed, Nawab etc. in it.
The movie as well as its songs are more or less forgotten. Here is one of the more obscure songs from this movie. It is sung by Suraiyya. Khumar Barabankwi is the lyricist. Music is composed by Naushad.
Only the audio of this song is aavailable. It is evident though that the song was picturised on Suraiyya herself.

Atul, this is one of my great favourites of Suraiya. Thanks a lot, though the audio quality is somewhat poor. If you listen carefully, you would see Naushad has copied his own tune from Aye bhi wo gaye bhi wo ab to fasana ho gaya by Parul Ghosh from Namaste (1943)
