Ham abhi aata tum abhi jaata

Posted on: July 1, 2013

“Gateway of India” (1957) was a suspense thriller starring Bharat Bhushan, Madhubala, Pradeep Kumar, Chandrashekhar, Om Prakash, Raj Mehra, Johny Walker, Anita Guha, Master Bhagwan, Sundar etc. This movie was directed by Om Prakash. This movie was ahead of its time which unfortunately meant that the movie flopped at the box office.

Six songs from this movie have been discussed in the past. Here is the seventh song from the movie. The song is sung by Rafi and chorus. Only the audio of this song is available to me as of now, so it is difficult to see how and on whom this song is picturised.
PS-Now I have come to know (thanks to the entry in Rafi excel sheet) that this song was picturised on Johny Walker.

Rajinder Krishna is the lyricist. Music is composed by Madan Mohan.

The words sung by the chorus consist of indecipherable gibberish which I have not able to note down and therefore I have not included them in the lyrics.

I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on the picturisation of this interesting song.
