“Niraala” (1950) was an M & T Films production. It was directed by Shankar Mukherji. The movie had Dev Anand, Madhubala, Leeta Misra, Mazhar Khan, Madhubala, Yakub, Radha Krishnan, Narbada Shanker, Dev Anand, Mumtaz Ali etc in it.
As many as seven songs from this movie have been discussed in the past. Here is the eighth song from the movie. This song is sung by Shamshad Begam. This “expression of love” song is picturised on a very young Madhubala. I recall that I had discussed a previous song from this (also sung by Shamshad Begam) and I was unable to identify the actress lip syncing the song and I had requested knowledgeable readers to help identify the actress. One knowledgeable reader had taken me to task for my inability to identify Madhubala. 🙂 Now I am wiser. 🙂

Nitin ji…my sincere thanks to you for providing lyrics. I am a devotee of CRamchandra for his genius and versatility….His pratibha was unique and his compositions are unique too… from Marathi bhavgeet to UP Bihar, Gujarat and from across the 7 seas to western and south-American tunes…His African-based songs ( Bambina …film Khajana. Mombasa Mombasa – film Sargam ) speak for his unmatched range. Many people talk ( poor knowledge ) only about Shamshad’s songs composed by Naushad ji.. but no music director could composed such a meaningful songs like the one here…. I am delighted….
