“Niraala” (1950) was an M & T Films production. It was directed by Shankar Mukherji. The movie had Dev Anand, Madhubala, Leeta Misra, Mazhar Khan, Madhubala, Yakub, Radha Krishnan, Narbada Shanker, Dev Anand, Mumtaz Ali etc in it.

As many as eight songs from this movie have been discussed in the past. Here is the ninth and final song from the movie. This song is sung by Rafi and C Ramchandra. This song is a “teasing” song where Madhubala and other girls are seen catwalking on a stage carrying matki, while two comedians (I am unable to identify them) lip sync this song expressiong their view that this village was full of “husn” as was pointed out by wise elders of the past.

P L Santoshi is the lyricist of this fun song. Music is composed by C Ramchandra.

Lyrics of this song were sent to me by Nitin Shah.

I request our knowledgeable readers to help identify the actors lip syncing this song.

With this song, “Niraala” (1950) joins the list of movies that have all their songs covered in the blog.

liye matakiya
aahaa
chali bahutiyaa
bahutiya
baandh paijaniya aa
paaon mein
aha ha
chham chham chhamki
sune chhamkiya
ghane kadamb ki chhaanv mein
arre nakte bhai
isi liye to
kehne waale sachh keh gaye hain
husn bhara hai

gaanv mein
kehne waale sachh keh gaye hain
husn bhara hai gaanv mein
husn bhara hai gaanv mein
haan gaanv mein
haan gaanv mein
husn bhara hai gaanv mein
haan gaanv mein
haan gaanv mein
kehne waale sachh keh gaye hain
husn bhara hai gaanv mein

ek chunariya bheeni bheeni
uske andar chaand sa mukhda

arre bhai waah waah waah
arre nazre teer chalaaven chhupke
ghani laton mein dil hai atka

meethhi si muskaan dikha ke
namak na chhidko ghaav mein
kehne waale sachh keh gaye hain
husn bhara hai gaanv mein
kehne waale sachh keh gaye hain
husn bhara hai gaanv mein
husn bhara hai gaanv mein
haan gaanv mein
haan gaanv mein
husn bhara hai gaanv mein
haan gaanv mein
haan gaanv mein
kehne waale sachh keh gaye hain
husn bhara hai gaanv mein

arre meri bhi sun
arre dekhi maine bahut chhokariyaan
laali powder waali re

ahaa
arre tan ki sab hain ujli ujli
man ki kaali kaali re

arre re chhee chhee chhee chhee chhee chhee
kaali kaali
ek dam
bada maza hai
bholi bhaali
gori ki adaaon mein
kehne waale sachh keh gaye hain
husn bhara hai gaanv mein
kehne waale sachh keh gaye hain
husn bhara hai gaanv mein
husn bhara hai gaanv mein
haan gaanv mein
haan gaanv mein
husn bhara hai gaanv mein
haan gaanv mein
haan gaanv mein
kehne waale sachh keh gaye hain
husn bhara hai gaanv mein
kehne waale sachh keh gaye hain
husn bhara hai gaanv mein

Thanks for the identification.

I think Mumtaz Ali was the father of Mehmood. Radhakrishna was a famous comedian who did roles with negative overtones.

Who will remember today Mumtaz Ali or Radhakishen?
