“Leela” (1947) was directed by Dattaram N Pai for Filmistan. The movie had Shobha, Kanu Roy, Veera, V H Desai, Agha, Leela Mishra, Krishnan Kutty, B M Dixit, Satyanarayan, Sunalini Devi etc in it.

Here is a song from “Leela” (1947). It is sung by Binapani Mukherji. Gopal Singh Nepali is the lyricist. Music is composed by C Ramchandra.

Only the audio of this song is available. It sounds like a mujra song. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on the picturisation of this song.

Lyrics(Provided by Nitin Shah)

ae ae
laakhon ke bol sahe ae ae
tere liye maine
laakhon ke bol sahe
tere liye
maine laakhon ke bol sahe

duniya dushman
ho le
ho le
main to tujhko jaanoon ji
sunti jaaun sabke taane
ek bhi na maanoon ji ee
koi hazaar kahe ae ae ae
koi hazaar kahe
tere liye maine
laakhon ke bol sahe
maine laakhon ke bol sahe

tu aankhon se ae ae ae
door hua
aankh michauli khel ke
jeeti hoon main teri khaatir
apni peeda jhel ke ae
aankhon se aansoo bahe ae ae
aankhon se aansoo bahe
tere liye
maine laakhon ke bol sahe
maine laakhon ke bol sahe ae ae
