Today (6 february 2015) is the 100th birth anniversary of Kavi Pradeep (6 february 1915-11 december 1998). Here is a song from “Amrapaali”(1945) as a tribute to him.
This song is sung by Amirbai Karnataki. Lyrics were written by Miss Kamal, who was another pen name of Kavi Pradeep. Saraswati Devi is the music director.
Only the audio of this song is available. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on the picturisation of this song.
Lyrics of this song were sent to me by Nitin Shah.

Lyrics(Provided by Nitin Shah)
iss duniya ki pagdandi per
tumhi ho mere saathi
ik tumhi ho mere saathi
iss duniya ki pagdandi per
tumhi ho mere saathi
ik tumhi ho mere saathi
mere dhundhle jeevanpath per
tum ?? ki baati
ik tumhi ho mere saathi
tum ho mere din ke sooraj
meri raat ke chanda aa
tum ho mere din ke sooraj
meri raat ke chanda
tum ne mujhko baandh liya hai
daal prem ka phanda
mere raajkumaar hanso
mere raajkumaar hanso
main tum pe bali bali jaati ee
ik tumhi ho mere saathi
iss vishaal sansaar mein main thhi akeli
kaanp rahi thhi meri jeewan beli ee
kaanp rahi thhi meri jeewan beli ee
lekin jis din tum ko paayaa
maine mann ko dheer bandhaya
apne ghar ko swarg samajh
main phooli nahin saaati ee ee
ik tumhi ho mere saathi
iss duniya ki pagdandi per
tumhi ho mere saathi
ik tumhi ho mere saathi
