“Apne Huye Paraaye”(1964) was directed by Ajit Chakraborty for Mars and Movies, Bombay. The movie had Mala Sinha, Manoj Kumar, Shashikala, Agha, Lalita Pawar, Sundar, Chand Bark, Dulari, Naina etc in it.

Six songs from this movie have been discussed in the past.

Here is the seventh and final song from the movie. This song is sung by Asha Bhonsle. Hasrat Jaipuri is the lyricist. Music is composed by Shankar Jaikishan.

All the songs from this song are superb songs. This movie has four songs sung by Lata (and lip synced by Mala Sinha. Mukesh has song two solos and Subir Sen has sung one song (a duet with Lata). Asha Bhpnsle, in her only song in the movie has lived upto the high standards set by the other songs of this movie. This song is picturised as a Mujra song in a wedding function. The performer looks like Padma Khanna though her name does not figure in the cast. I request our knowledgeable readers to help identify the dancer in the picturisation.

With this song, “Apne Huye Paraaye”(1964) joins the list of movies that have all their songs covered in the blog.

Ofcourse that was Padma Khanna. In film’s title it shows as Padma Kumari.

Thanks for the confirmation.

She was young; hence looks different. In opening scene Agha can be seen tuning the tabla.

I think it must be Dulari. She is visible in many O.P.Nayyar songs. I may be wrong, but a very strong feeling
