“Shabnam” (1949) was directed by B Mitra for Filmistan Studios. The movie had Dilip Kumar, Kamini Kaushal, Jeevan, Paro, Mubarak, Harun, Rajendra Singh, Shyama, Cuckoo etc in it.
As many as nine songs from this movie have been discussed in the past.
Here is the tenth and final song from “Shabnam”(1949) to appear in the blog. This song is sung by Lalita Deulkar and an unknown male voice. Qamar Jalalabadi is the lyricist. Music is composed by S D Burman.
THe song is picturised as a light hearted song. The picturisation shows a hungry Kamini Kaushal and an equally hungry unidentified (to me) gentlemen singing this song hoping to catch the ears of Dilip Kumar who has a good supply to foodstuff available with him. The duo do not allow Dilip Kumar to eat his stuff in peace, as can be seen in the picturisation.
I request our knowledgeable raeders to help identify the unidentified male voice as well as the unidentfied hungry male colleague of Kamini Kaushal.
With this song, “Shabnam”(1949) joins the list of movies that have all their songs covered in the blog.
