“Chakori”(1949) was directed by Ram Narayan Dube for Ramesh Pictures. The movie had Nalini Jaiwant, Bharat Bhushan, Om Prakash, Cuckoo, Manorama, Randhir etc in it.

Five songs from this movie have been discussed in the past. Here is the sixth song from the movie.

This song is sung by Rafi. Mulkraj Bhakri is the lyricist. Music is composed by Hansraj Bahl.

Only the audio of this song is available. It appears that this song is a Story cum background song that gets played while the credits roll on the screen. It is just my guess. I request our knowledgeable raeders to throw light on the picturisation of this song. The song itself is as obscure as the movie itself.

Song-Ik dukhiya jawaani ki hai itni kahaani (Chakori)(1949) Singer-Rafi, Lyrics-Mulkraj Bhakri, MD-Hansraj Bahl

ik dukhiya jawaani ki hai bas itni kahaani ee
ji ho gayi dushman jawaani mein hi jawaani
hai ae ae itni kahaani

wo peele peele kheton mein
aanchal ki udaanen
kaajal ka jhoola aankhon mein bhauhen thhin kamaanen
wo gopiya se karti thhi
bulbul ki nishaane
kismat ne us maasoom ki par ek naa maani ee
haaye ho gayi dushman jawaani mein hi jawaani
hai ae itni kahaani

majbooriyaan thhin bebasi thhi
dil mein gham bhi tha
ke ho rahi shaadi budhaape se
sitam ye thha
dulhan thhi nayi naveli
par ranj o alam bhi thha
aake budhaape ne chheen li maasoom jawaani ee
haaye ho gayi dushman jawaani mein hi jawaani
hai ae itni kahaani

ummeedon ki laashon ki thhi ik sej bichhaai
aur yaas mein doobi hui nazar dar pe lagaai
darwaaje pe dastak ki sada kaanon mein aayi
sunte hi jaan kaanp uthi ee ee
aur aankhen tharraai
aur aankhen tharraai
socha usne lut chali hai
ab to ye asmat meri
socha phir wo uthh khadi
ke hai yahi kismat meri
mehandi range haathon se
usne liya khanjar sambhaal
cheer kar seena diya
usne kaleja yoon nikaaal
