1971 Social Film “Ek Thi Reeta” had eleven songs. Seven out of them are already covered in our musical Blog. This is the Eighth one. I do not have two songs mentioned earlier. If some research minded Atulite can find those two songs (One by Sara Kapoor and one English song) they are welcome to send me those in Audio or Video format. Till then, this one is the last song as far as I am concerned and Hari Ichchha permitting we will go to the next Jaidev Film after this.
I need not repeat the star-cast. This film was produced and directed by Roop K Shorey for International Films, Bombay. It had five lyricists viz, Sarshar Sailani, Prem Jalandhari, Vikal Saketi, Anjaan and Naksh Llayalpuri. Music was by our Jaidevji assisted by Gyan Varma.
Asha is the main singer, with the chorus and an unidentified male voice takes over in the last ‘antara’. Enjoy the song.

The unknown singer is Jagjit Singh. His first recorded song.
