“Banphool”(1971) was directed by Vijay Bhatt for Filmlands, Bombay. This social movie had Jeetendra, Babita, Shatrughan Sinha, Ramesh Deo, Kanhaiyalal, Sundar, Hari Shivdasani, Poornima, Shabnam, Seema, Asrani, Laxmi Patel, Kamaldeep, Ridku, Durga Khote, Kavita, Hansraj, Neeta, Geeta, Jamini, Daksh, Chetna, Rajiv, Mohan, Tilak, Pranav, Madhuri, Damle etc in it.
The movie had six songs in it and these songs were very popular during its time.
Five songs from this movie have been discussed in the past. Here is the sixth and final song from the movie. This song is sung with gusto by Rafi. Anand Bakshi is the lyricist. Music is composed by Laxmikant Pyarelal.
The song is picturised on Jeetendra and Babita as a typical outdoor surroundings. Picturisation of songs of this movie, as also earlier movies viz. “Jeene Ki Raah”(1967), “Caravan”(1971) etc helped Jeetendra earn his sobriquet of “Jumping Jack”.
With this song, that can cheer up the listeners even today, “Banphool”(1971) joins the list of movies that have all their songs covered in the blog.
