“Zamaane Ki Hawa”(1952) was produced and directed by Wali Sahab for Punjab Film Corporation, Bombay. The movie had Mumtaz Shanti, Suresh, Husn Bano, Pran, Murad, Kesri, Sita Bose, Shakuntala, Neerja, Shareefabai, anjum, Rajni, Kamu, Raja Salim, Raju, Majnu etc in it.
This “social” film had twelve songs in it that were penned by five lyricists and composed by four music directors. At least seven singers (may be more) had sung the songs of this movie.
Here is the first song from “Zamaane Ki Hawa”(1952) to appear in the blog. This song is sung by Talat Mehmood. Kaif Irfani is the lyricist. Music is composed by Gulshan Soofi.
Listening to the soothing voice of Talat Mehmood first thing in the morning singing this song certainly has a therapeutic effect on one’s nerves.
