Now a days we are regularly discussing songs under the “Blog Ten Year Challenge”. Every day, at least one movie is found to be eligible for this challenge.
Today (19 august 2020) is an exception. No movie is eligible today for the reason that no posts appeared on this day 10 year ago. That way, 2010 had lots of DOT days – 61 to be exact. 19 august 2010 was the 45th DOT day (out of 61) of 2010.
By contrast, 2020 thankfully has had no DOT days. And I hope that we will be able to maintain this record for 2020.
Today so far no post has appeared. On this occasion here is a song from “Chandi Pooja”(1957). “Chandi Pooja”(1957) was produced by Dinu M Desai and directed by Raman B Desai for New Precious pictures, Bombay. The movie had Nirupa Roy, Manhar Desai, Shanta Apte, Prem Adib, D.K.Sapru, Hans Raj, Malaya Sarkar, Panday, Moni Chatterjee, Sangeeta, Sudhir, Narbada Shankar etc in it.
The movie had eight songs in it. The movie had made its debut in the blog on 18 August 2010 and four out of eight songs of the movie have been covered so far. So the movie was eligible for “Blog Ten Year Challenge” yesterday. But we could noyt take up this movie yesterday.
One day later, here is the fifth song from “Chandi Pooja”(1957) to appear in the blog. This song is sung by Asha Bhonsle and female chorus. Kavi Pradeep is the lyricist. Music is composed by Ajit Merchant.
Only the audio of this “Aaj main jawaan ho gayi hoon” genre of song is available. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on the picturisation of the song.
