——————————————

Welcome all to this post!!!

Regulars on the blog must be aware that last year ‘2021’ we celebrated ‘fifty years’ of the year ‘1971’. And with the ending of the year ‘2021’, ‘1971’ has become ‘fifty years old now’ 😊.

The New Year ‘2022’ marks the beginning of ‘fifty years’ for the year ‘1972’. So, it is quite appropriate for us to have a look on the movies ‘released / unreleased’ in 1972 and their status on the blog. To start with, we will begin this ‘celebration’ by adding the ‘missing films’ of 1972 on the blog first.

If one goes through the HFGK Vol-V (1971-1980) and start reading the list of movies for the year ‘1972’, alphabetically the very first movie mentioned is ‘Aakraant’. This movie has so far not been represented on the blog. But then, there is no information about the songs in this movie.

The second, third, and fourth movies are ‘Aanbaan’, ‘Aankh Micholi’, and ‘Aankhon Aankhon Mein’ respectively. All the three movies have been represented on the blog. The fifth movie in the list in HFGK is ‘Achchhaa Buraa’ which is yet to be represented on the blog. Today we get introduced to this movie from 1972 – ‘Achchhaa Buraa’.

“Achchhaa Buraa” was directed by Mohammad Hussain for Upkar Prdouctions, Bombay.  The star cast is listed as Anupama, Dev Dutt, Dev Kumar, NA Ansari, Neelam, Sushma, Tuntun, Meena T, Mohan Choti, Praveen Pal, Shyam Kumar, Polsan, Shefali, V Gopal, PS Khan, Shammi, Rinku, Baby Yasmeen, Asit Sen, Bela Bose, Madhumati, Rajani and others.

This movie was passed by Censor Board on 05.07.1972.

This movie had four songs – three written by Asad Bhopali and one written by Balkavi Bairagi. Music for this movie was composed by Raj Kamal. The list of songs in this movie is as given below.

S No Song Title Singer/s
01 Wallaah hamse poochho tum kitni haseen ho Mohd Rafi, Kishna Kalle
02 Soneyaa, jaata kahaan hai dil todke, pyaar ka raasta chhodke Usha Mangeshkar
03 Do dilon mein hamesha muhabbat rahe Hemlata, Sulakshana Pandit
04 Kuchh aisa kar ooparwaale, tod taadkar sab taale Manna Dey

I was not aware of this movie or its songs. Its only through HFGK that I got to know about this movie. The songs of this movie have been uploaded recently (i.e., in 2019). I remember I have looked for its songs earlier, but they were not available before. Now audio link of the above songs is available. (I could not locate video links of these songs).

Lyrics for the today’s song are written by Asad Bhopali and music is composed by Raj Kamal. This song is sung by Usha Mangeshkar, and it is a lovely-sweet song. I guess it should have been picturised on the actress of this movie Anupama. I could not find more information about this movie except the details given in HFGK (Vol-V). Though there have been one more movie with the same title in the year ‘1983’. I have not watched that movie either.

I would request knowledgeable readers to throw more light on this movie ‘Achchhaa Buraa’ and picturisation of the songs from this movie.

Let us now listen to the today’s beautiful song … only audio of this song is available …

With this song the movie ‘Achchhaa Buraa’ (1972) makes its debut on the blog 😊

Song – Soneyaa, Jaata Kahaan Hai Dil Tod Ke (Achcha Bura) (1972) Singer – Usha Mangeshkar, Lyrics – Asad Bhopali, MD – Raj Kamal

Lyrics

ho soneyaa aa
soneyaa

jaata kahaan hai dil tod ke
pyaar ka raasta chhod ke
main to de doongi jaan
be-imaan bairiyaa
jaane naa doongi mukh mod ke
soneyaa aa aa aa aa

pyaasi jawaani
tujh ko pukaare
o deewaane
baat pyaar ki maan jaa aa aa aa aa
ab to samajh le ae
dil ke ishaare ae
kar na bahaane
baat pyaar ki maan jaa
ho tere binaa channa mar jawaangi
ho zulmi
naa jaa dilon ka naata tod ke
pyaar ka raasta chhod ke
main to de doongi jaan
be-imaan bairiyaa
jaane naa doongi mukh mod ke
soneyaa aa aa aa aa

uff ye gussaa
uff ye tevar
us pe nakhre ae
haaye teri kya baat hai ae ae ae ae
dil mein mohabbat
aankhon mein nafrat
ab ham samjhe
oye teri kya baat hai
ho tere utton waari waari jawaangi
ho maahiya
na ja dilaan da naata tod ke
pyaar ka raasta chhod ke
main to de doongi jaan
be-imaan bairiyaa
jaane naa doongi mukh mod ke
soneyaa aa aa aa aa

pyaar se badh ke ae
aa phailaa de
baahen apni
aaj roothhna chhod ke ae ae ae ae
tu jo mujhko
galey laga le
o nirmohi
aaj roothhnaa chhod ke ae
o sadkaa main tainu chadhaawaangi
heereyaa
na ja dilon ka naata tod ke
pyaar ka raasta chhod ke
main to de doongi jaan
be-imaan bairiyaa
jaane naa doongi mukh mod ke
soneyaa aa aa aa aa
heereyaa aa aa aa aa
