Blog 10-Year Challenge (2012-2022) – Song No. 49
————————————————————————————–

Welcome all to this post under ‘blog ten year challenge 2012-2022’.

Today’s(30 May 2022) song is from the movie ‘Jheel Ke Us Paar-1973’.

One song from this movie was presented on the blog on 30.05.2012 alongwith two more songs as listed below.

Song Title Name of the movie (year) Remarks
Chhod chale pyaari duniya ko Bhaagam Bhaag(1956) All songs covered
Maine dekha usne dekha pyaar ho gaya Aaya Saawan Jhoom Ke(1969) All songs covered
Baabul tere baagaan di main baabul Jheel Ke Us Paar(1973) 4 of 6 songs posted

We can see from the above table that only three songs were posted ten years back on this day (still better than the current rate in the same month ten years later in 2022, which is one song per day 🙂 ).

The average of the month ‘May-2012’ was 4.12 songs per day which means a total of 128 songs were covered in the month of ‘May-2012’.

If we look the figures of songs posted in the month of ‘May’ since the inception of the blog we get the following figures.

YEAR May
2008 0* (Blog started in the month of July’2008)
2009 194
2010 64
2011 107
2012 128
2013 142
2014 75
2015 61
2016 35
2017 81
2018 67
2019 40
2020 60
2021 55
2022 33*

We can see that the highest score for the month of ‘May’ is 194 in the year ‘2009’. And the lowest score of ‘May’ is 35 in the year ‘2016’. In the current year this month the figure stands at 33 so we can hope that it will either go past the lowest figure of ‘35’ or it may even end up in a ‘tie’ for the lowest score for the month. In these fourteen years ‘May’ has seen four centuries 194, 107, 128, & 142 in the year 2009, 2011, 2012 & 2013 respectively. There have been seven half centuries – 64, 75, 61, 81, 67, 60 & 55 in the years – 2010, 2014, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2020 & 2021 respectively.

So that is all for ‘May’ on the blog from 2008 to 2022 🙂

Let us now come to today’s BTYC movie. Out of the three movies represented on the blog ‘Bhaagam Bhaag-1956’, and ‘Aaya Saawan Jhoom Ke-1969’ have been ‘Yippeeee’ed’ on the blog i.e. all songs of these movies have already been covered.

The movie eligible today for Blog Ten Year Challenge is ‘Jheel Ke Us Paar-1973’. This movie had six songs in it. For of these songs have been posted on the blog. Today’s song is the fifth song from this movie to appear on the blog.

‘Jheel Ke Us Paar-1973’ was directed by Bhaapie Soni for his home productions. It had Dharmendra, Mumtaz, Prem Chopra, Junior Mehmood, Ranjeet, Fariyaal, Veena, Anwar Hussain, Iftekhar, Urmila Bhatt, Sujata, Polsan, Baby Chiku, Madan Keni, Rajan Kapoor, Altamash Gazanvi, Yogita Bali , Jagdish Raj (in Guest Apprearance) and Pran (Special Appearance).

This movie was passed by Censor Board on 28.08.73 that is almost forty-nine years ago.

Today’s song is sung by Lata Mangeshkar. It is picturised on Mumtaz. Yogita Bali, Dharmendra, Prem Chopra, Veena and Iftekhar can also be seen present in the picturisation of this song.

Lyricist for this song is Anand Bakshi and music is composed by R.D. Burman.

I remember to have watched this movie in my childhood days but I have forgotten all about it by now. But I think it was a nice movie to watch and the musical score by R.D. Burman is also very good. ‘Kya nazaare kya sitaare’ sung by Kishore Kumar is my favorite song from this movie.

Let us listen to today’s song.

Lyrics for today’s song were provided by Prakashchandra.

Song-Keh rahe hain ye aansoo baraste huye (Jheel Ke Us Paar)(1973) Singer-Lata, Lyrics-Anand Bakshi, MD-R D Burman

Lyrics (Provided by Prakashchandra)

keh rahe hain ye aansoo baraste huye
keh rahe hain ye aansoo baraste huye
oonchey oonchey makaanon mein baste huye
ek gareeb andhi ladki pe hanste huye
aapko sharm aati nahin..een..eeen

keh rahe hain ye aansoo baraste huye
oonchey oonchey makaanon mein baste huye
ek gareeb andhi ladki pe hanste huye
aapko sharm aati naheen..een..eeen..een…een

kyaa huaa main agar khoobsoorat nahin
main bhi insaan hoon mitti ki moorat nahin
kyaa huaa main agar khoobsoorat nahin
main bhi insaan hoon mitti ki moorat nahin
aapki main bahan beti hoti agar
aap pe kyaa guzarti main roti agar
o o o
meri soorat pe taane yoon kaste huye
aapko sharm aati naheen…een..eeen
keh rahe hain ye aansoo baraste huye
oonchey oonchey makaanon mein baste huye
ek gareeb andhi ladki pe hanste huye
aapko sharm aati naheen..een..eeen..een…een

keemti motarein jagmagaatey libaas
mehangi cheezein hain sab aap logon ke paas
keemti motarein jagmagaatey libaas
mehangi cheezein hain sab aap logon ke paas
kis liye tum bhalaa phir khudaa se daro
bad-naseebon ki par bad-duaaon se daro..o.o
ho o o
meri majbooriyon pe yoon hanste huye
aapko sharm aati naheen…een..eeen..eeen

keh rahe hain ye aansoo baraste huye
oonchey oonchey makaanon mein baste huye
ek gareeb andhi ladki pe hanste huye
aapko o
sharm aati ee..ee..eee
