“Mehndi-1983” or “Mehandi” was directed by Asit Sen for ‘Pam International, Bombay’. It was produced by Dinesh Kumar. It had Vinod Mehra, Ranjeeta, Raj Babbar, Tamanna, Madan Puri, Usha Kiran, Raj Bothra, Seema Dev, Ashok Thakkar, R. Chopra, Prabhat Roy, Birbal, Montu, Mohan Choti, Meena T., and others.
Bindiya Goswami and Shakti Kapoor had a special appearance in this movie.
This movie has five songs (including one two part song) written by Verma Malik and composed by Khayyam Saab.
This movie was passed by Censor Board on 22.01.1983.
Mahendra Kapoor, Asha Bhonsle, and Kishore Kumar had given their voices to the songs in this movie.

Today 18th February 2023 is the Ninety-sixth birth anniversary of Khayyam Saab.
As a tribute to him we listen today a song from ‘Mehndi-1983’ sung by Asha Bhonsle.

One of my all time Asha Bhosle favourites, I have sent the lyrics of this song and another Asha Bhosle solo song from this Mehndi(1983)many many years ago…….
