#the Decade of Seventies – 1971 – 1980 #

# Bhoole-Bisre Geet # (A tribute to Ravindra Jain)
——————————————-—————————————

Today 28th February’2023 is the seventy-ninth birth anniversary of music-director, lyricist Ravindra Jain (28 February 1944 – 9 October 2015).

For this occasion, I had selected a song from a lesser known movie, but since links of this song are not available on internet it needed to be uploaded by me. However due a sudden development I had to travel to Nagpur for a visit to meet relatives there. After reaching here at Nagpur I didn’t get enough time to upload this song. Moreover this place where I will be staying next for about a week or so, is not in the city but nearer to the city and here there is some connectivity problem.
(The internet speed is slow here). But the musical journey will be continuing :),
I do not want to miss this opportunity of presenting a song from the ‘seventies’ particularly. 🙂

So, I had to look for another song on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Ravindra Jain. Today I am presenting a song composed by him instead of a song written and composed by him.

This song is from the ‘1977’ movie ‘Raam Bharose’.

‘Raam Bharose-1977’ was directed by Anand Sagar for ‘Sagar Art (International) Films, Bombay’ and Ramanand Sagar. It was produced by Subhash Sagar.

Star cast of this movie includes Randhir Kapoor, Rekha, Amjad Khan, Dara Singh, Keshto Mukherjee, Kanan Kaushal, Madan Puri, Nazir Hussain and Sujit Kumar. It also had Raza Murad, Tom Alter, Shailesh Kumar, Jagirdar, Jagdish Raj, Chaman Puri, Master Baboo, Javed Khan, Shiv Raj, Sole, Shahid Bijnori, Ram Murthy, Deepak Raj and Shetty.

Editing for this movie was done by Lachmandass. Dialogues of this movie were written by (Late) Krishan Chander. This movie was written by Moti Sagar.

This movie was passed by Censor Board on 21.04.1977.

There were six songs in this movie composed by Ravindra Jain. Hasrat Jaipuri, Ravindra Jain, Tajdar Taj and Dev Kohli were the lyricist for this movie.
Asha Bhonsle, Narinder Chanchal, Kishore Kumar and Mohd Rafi gave their voices to the songs of this movie.

This song is sung by Narinder Chanchal. It is picturised as a background song. In the video of the song we can see Rekha and Randhir Kapoor where Randhir Kapoor is lying on a bed in a hospital. From the lyrics of the song I guess that Rekha has some other plans for Randhir Kapoor, may be giving a wrong injection to him (she is in the get-up of a ‘nurse’) which could be under pressure of Madan Puri, Jeevan, and Tom Alter as shown in the video.

I would request readers who have watched this movie to throw more light on the context and picturisation of this song.

Lyrics for the song are by Tajdar Taj and as mentioned above music is composed by Ravindra Jain.

Let us listen to this wonderful composition in the ‘special voice’ of Narinder Chanchal and pay our tributes to Ravindra Jain.

The lyrics noted are as per the audio of this song available which seems to be the full song whereas the video available is partial(only shows the second stanza of the song).
