We observe that two movies (out of eight) whose songs were covered on this date ten years ago (on 19 april 2013) have since been YIPPEED in the blog. So we have six unYIPPEED movies that are eligible for Blog Ten Year Challenge today (19 April 2023).
“Lalkaar”(1956) is one of the movies that is eligible for BTYC today.
“Lalkaar”(1956) was produced by Labhshankar T Mehta and Kantilal M Parekh and directed by Nanubhai Vakil for Himachal Films, Bombay. The movie had Nirupa Roy, Mahipal, Krishnakumari, Ram Singh, Kumkum, Radhakishen, Kesari, Bheem, Sadiq, Wazir Muhammad Khan, Jugnu, Prakash, Champak Lala, Moti, Naazi, Nalini Chonkar,
Sharad Shukla, Narbada Shankar, Hiralal etc in it.
“Lalkaar”(1956) had eight songs in it. Three songs have been covered so far.
Here is the fourth song from the movie to appear in the blog. The song is sung by Shamshad Begam and femal chorus. Bharat Vyas is the lyricist. Music is composed by Shanmukh Babu Upadhyay.
Only audio of this song is available which sounds like a Rajasthani dance song. I request our knowledgeable readers to throw light on the picturisation of the song.
