Regulars on this blog are familiar about the common interests of the team of this blog. First, it is songs and movies of course, one is cricket and the other most important is Railway or train or Indian Railways specifically. Everybody has a big admiration for the railway services and the efforts they put day in – day out to keep this country ‘moving’. Train travel is the safest and cheap (too) journey for the common citizens of this country as it has been for the last many many years. Then there is the ‘nostalgia’ people have for their life’s years associated of travelling to various places by train. People migrating to far away places from their hometown or staying far from their families for earnings always have many memories associated with train travel of reaching homes when everybody is waiting for them. When one travels in train he gets to have interaction with people from different parts of the country and some of them become friends during the travel and thus one gets to about diverse cultures too. The many journeys also teach one a lot and also tell us about the uncertainties in life and how life has been to the so many others than one self. The ‘Indian Railways’ plays a big role in ‘national –integration’ and it is also source of inspiration for many people like me.

So, naturally our movies have many songs which we ‘categorize’ as train/trail songs. On this blog we have many such songs already covered earlier. Majority of these songs also give us ‘the philosophy of life’ and are symbolic to the ‘journey’ of our life and the obstacles we faced. Our lyricist and composers have given us many timeless classic ‘train/rail songs’. Many movies from the earlier decades have shot beautiful locations of railway stations, the surroundings there and watching them is always such a pleasure and nostalgia relived. Some movie have their stories where ‘railway station or train’ is a central plot in the movie or it acts as a sub-plot there.

Today we have passed a ‘time-line’ on calendar and from tomorrow there will be a new beginning with a new date in the history of man-kind. On this occasion I always find it appropriate to look back and look forward our life with a ‘train song’. I had noted this song almost six years back and it is still lying to be posted. It is from a recent movie – “The Train -2007” but it also has a ‘tag line’ with it, and that is the part of its title also, it is “The Train – Some lines should never be crossed”

“The Train – Some lines should never be crossed…-2007” was directed by Raksha Mistry and Hasnain S Hyderabadawala. It was produced by Narendra Bajaj. And this movie was passed by Censor Board on 30.05.2007. The cast of this movie included Emraan Hashmi, Geeta Basra, Suresh N Menon, Rajat Bedi, Ananth Mahadevan, Ashok Benewal, Sukhwinder, Saurav Sharma, Aditi Bhatia (child artist), and Aseem Merchant. This movie introduced actress Sayali Bhagat. Rajesh Kattar and Anita Wahi had special appearance in this movie. Screenplay of this movie was written by Janak-Hriday and dialogues were written by Sanjay Masoom. Bunty Nagi had done the editing of this movie and his associate was Prashant Sing Rathore. This movie has soundtracks as per information available on internet. Sayeed Quadri is the lyricist for all the songs in this movie and music is composed by Mithhoon.

Here is the plot of this movie as given on ‘Wikipedia’.

Vishal Dixit, a middle-class man in Bangkok, struggles with his deteriorating marriage and his daughter Nikki’s critical need for a kidney operation. His life takes a turn when he meets Richa Malhotra (posing as Roma Kapoor), a woman in a similar unhappy marriage. Their affair leads to them being blackmailed by Tony, a criminal who ultimately reveals himself as Richa’s accomplice.
Vishal’s attempts to pay off Tony drain his savings, including money meant for Nikki’s surgery. When he learns Richa and Tony are con artists, he tracks them down, leading to a confrontation where both Richa and Tony are killed in a gunfight. Vishal retrieves his stolen money from the hotel safe and returns to his family. Nikki’s surgery is successful, and Vishal reconciles with his wife, Anjali, promising a fresh start.

The song appears in the movie at the end and in the background when the ‘titles/credits’ are rolling on screen. So, this song happens in the movie when ‘EVERYTHING IS BACK ON THE TRACK’ … let us all keep moving on the track …

Lyrics are by Sayeed Quadri and music is composed by Mithhoon.

Lyrics

Zindagee train hai ae
Waqt ke track pe ae
Lamhon ke coach mein
Ham musaafir yahaan aa

Zindagee train hai ae
Waqt ke track pe ae
Zindagee train hai ae
Waqt ke track pe ae
Lamhon ke coach mein
Ham musaafir yahaan aa
Lamhon ke coach mein
Ham musaafir yahaan aa
Chalte hi jaa rahe hain
Yahaan se wahaan
Har ghadee har pahar
Roz shaam o subah
Chalte hi jaa rahe hain
Yahaan se wahaan
Har ghadee har pahar
Roz shaam o subah
Ismein din hain kahin to
Kahin rain hain
Zindagee train hai ae
Waqt ke track pe ae ae

सबका रुकना है तय
