“Jaggu”(1975) was directed by Sameer Ganguly for R M Art Productions, Bombay. This “social” movie had Shatrughan Sinha, Leena Chandawarkar, Imtiaz, Jagdeep, Jyoti, Purnima, Shetty, Hercules, Aazaad, Daljeet, Nawaab, Prakash Mishra, Indira Bansal, Moolchand, Viju Khote, Bholanath, Anwar Hussain etc in it. In addition, there were special appearances by Bindu, Aruna Irani, Bhagwan Dada, Kamal, Master Cheeku, Paintal, Mohan Choti, Keshav Rana etc.
The movie had six songs in it. One song has been covered in the past.
Here is the second song from “Jaggu”(1975) to appear in the blog. This song is sung by Lata Mangeshkar. S H Bihari is the lyricist. Music is composed by Sonik Omi.
Only audio of the song is available. Videos of the movie that are available online are without songs. But from watching the movie without songs, it becomes clear that this song was picturised on Leena Chandawarkar, because the tune of this song gets played in a scene with her.
This is a nice song to listen to. The people who have uploaded the video of the movie without its songs have killed the essence of the movie by doing so because the songs of this movie were the only redeeming factor in this movie. The story and its picturisation is poor and that is the reason why few people bothered to watch this maha bore movie.
I have not been able to get a word right in the lyrics that gets repeated multiple times that I have misheard as “…ke teri (?)”. I request our reades with keener ears to help decipher this word in the lyrics.
