Mukesh and his NFS – 15
At the outset, as I post the last of the 4 available private songs (out of 6) which Mukesh sang in Delhi in 1939-40, I take this opportunity to once again profusely thank Shri Pawan Tanay ji for uploading these priceless gems on his youtube channel.
Had it not been for his generous gesture, these 4 private songs would have also remained only in print with no access to sound bites of a 16-year-old who would soon turn into a legend.
I reproduce the familiar table once again. More importantly, I reiterate my request to any reader who possesses the first 2 songs (1a and 1b) or can provide any lead about their whereabouts. The fact that record number of the 2 untraceable songs (N14504) is known gives hope that the disc must be lying somewhere with someone if not lost forever.

In my view, Mukesh sounds more mature in today’s song. The lyricist and composer are not known, but the long prelude to the song suggests that the composer was well versed with his works.
I am done with the posting of the 4 private songs of Mukesh. In the next huge and exceptionally important post and multiple events, we will move on to the more known territory of Mukesh’s film songs.
