“Pyaar Deewaana” (1972) was produced and directed by Samar Chatterjee. The movie had Kishore Kumar, Mumtaz, Padma Khanna, Iftekhar, S Banerjee, Shefali, Samson, Moni Chatterjee, S K Sham, Rajnibala, Satish Arora, Sunder etc in it.
This movie took a long time in getting made. During this process, the title of the movie underwent changes from “Mr Buddhu” to “Zindagee Phir Muskaayee” and finally “Pyaar Deewaana”.
“Pyaar Deewaana” (1972) had eight songs (including a multiple version song) that were recorded in 1960s.
Four songs (including the multiple version song) have been covered in the past. The songs were penned by Asad Bhopali and composed by Lala Sattar.
Today (10 July 2026) is the birth anniversary of Asad Bhopali(10 July 1921-9 June 1990). On this occasion, here is a song from “Pyaar Deewaana” (1972). This song is sung by Kishore Kumar. The song is picturised on himself in the company of several ladies. I am unable to identify them. I request our knowledgeable readers to help identify them.
