Mukesh and his NFS – 14
We come back to arguably the most nostalgic songs that Mukesh sang in his life. I say life and not singing career because he recorded these half a dozen songs before he set foot in Bombay in 1940-41.
A young boy, 17 years of age managed to record 6 songs in Delhi and have them released on discs. How he pulled this great feat is not documented.
I have covered two of the six songs, and I reproduce the links here.
The table of the 6 private songs is provided below. The two songs that have been represented on the blog are at S. No 2b and 3a.

I take up 2a with this short post. The composer and lyricist remain unknown.
On hearing this song too, the voice gives goosebumps to the listeners for these raw, untrained renderings to create history and a legend simply known as Mukesh.
A voice that continues to rule the air waves to this day and decades to come.
