Saathi re gham nahin karna

Strange are the ways of humans. It has its own mechanism of triggering some memory. I was listening to some songs which have no connection, with the one under discussion, then I thought of some other song from the film ‘Krodhi’ that led me to ‘ na fankaar tujh sa tere baad aaya…. Mohammed Rafi tu bahot yaad aaya ‘ (Another ‘Krodhi’) and some how from here I remembered the words and tune of this song, ‘saathhi re gham nahin karnaa ‘ Sounded like a Madan Mohan tune (unused song in the film ‘ Parwana ‘ – jis din se main ne tum ko dekhaa hai).

“Saawan Ko Aane Do” (1979) was a Rajshree Productions movie. It was produced by Tarachand Barjatya and directed by Kanak Mishra. The movie had Arun Govil, Zarina Wahab, Amrish Puri, Rita Bhaduri etc in it.

Jaao sidhaaro fateh paao

Today (30 september) is the birth anniversary of Pt Feroz Dastoor (30 september 1919 – 9 may 2008). Very little information is available about him today but I came across a very informative article on him here.
