Today’s song – it is a Bhajan – is from the film Patit Paawan-(1955).
The “Same Name Confusion” is applicable not only to artistes and others working in films, but it fully applies to Film Titles as well. In fact, film titles are more of a culprit than the people working in films, because the incidence of repetitions is several times more in film titles. A field where the Same Name film is made in 7 different years is more dangerous than the same names of artistes, which may not be more than 3 or 4 operating in the same period to cause confusion. That is the reason a film should not be mentioned without its year in which it is censored/ released to avoid confusion.

The film was produced by J.P.Saini and T.N.Dhar. It was directed by an expert of such films, namely Balwant Bhatt. The 9 songs from this film were written by Raja Mehdi Ali Khan, Anjum Jaipuri and Hasrat Jaipuri. The music was provided by Bipin-Babul. The singers were Mohd. Rafi, Shamshad Begum and Asha Bhosle. “2023 15 August
As we know, India is going to celebrate 77th Independence Day on 15th August 2023 and this day marks the memory of the end of 200 Year British Rule. On this day, all the religious leaders, political leaders, prominent personalities and Students deliver Independence Day Speech 2023 and pay tribute to freedom fighters.”
This is the result Google showed on searching 15th August, 2023. Fair enough. I thought it to be this way and the sitting diety of the World Wide Web is also correct and succinct. This diety has almost run its course and is in the final leg of its life circle “as a diety”. We have relied on it long enough and it served us best as it could.
So we commemorate India’s 77th Independence Day and pay tribute to freedom fighters, with this song from the film “Minister” (1959). As the title suggests, the movie must have been on politicians.

We come to that day again, when the death anniversary of Rafi Sahab becomes the subject of talk, discussion, posts in the blog, awe-inspiring for learners and a deep-thinking day for die-hard fans like me. As I grow older, the word ‘fan’ in this context sounds basic and amateur.
