This is a gem of a ghazal presented in Mujra style. Once again, very beautiful, almost semi classical composition. The words are lovely, and the music is just wonderful. As with the other song picturised on Helen, the quality of on screen situation and picturization is average. However, the song is mesmerizing, if one listens only to the audio, without any visual distractions.

Lyrics
itihaas agar likhna chaaho
itihaas agar likhna chaaho
aazaadi ke majmoon se
itihaas agar likhna chaaho
aazaadi ke majmoon se
to seencho apni dharti ko veeron tum apne khoon se
har har har mahaadev alla hu akbar
har har har mahadev alla hu akbar
aapas mein ladna chhodo bhedbhaav ka sar todo
aapas me ladna chhodo bhedbhaav ka sar todo
watan pe aafat aayi hai to taar dil ka dil se jodo
taar dil ka dil se jodo
agar bandhna chaahe koi zulm bhare kaanoon se
zulm bhare kaanoon se
to seencho apni dharti ko veeron tum apne khoon se
har har har mahadev alla hu akbar
har har har mahadev alla hu akbar
hamen na abla samjhe koi
ham bhaarat ki naari hain
ham bhaarat ki naari hain
komal komal phool nahin
ham jwaala hain chingaari hain
ham jwaala hain
chingaari hain
chhod do paayal ki jhankaar haath mein lo teekhi talwar
hata do ghoonghat ka singaar
bano ranchandi ka avtaar
hey ambe jagdambe
hey ambe jagdambe
hey ambe jagdambe
hey ambe jagdambe
taar dil ka dil se jodo
agar jo chaaho vatan hamaara
hansta rahe sakoon se
hansta rahe sakoon se
to seencho apni dharti ko veeron tum apne khoon se
har har har mahaadev alla hu akbar
har har har mahadev alla hu akbar
itihaas agar likhna chaaho aazadi ke majmoon se
to seencho apni dharti ko veeron tum apne khoon se
har har har mahadev alla hu akbar
har har har mahadev alla hu akbar
har har har mahadev alla hu akbar
har har har mahadev alla hu akbar

Regular Hindi movie watchers may have certainly watched a few historical/mythological movies involving Kings. In these movies,King and his ministers would assemble in a Raj Darbaar (King’s court) the way today’s Business houses have their General Body Meeting. What is common in all these meetings is that after the meeting, there would be often by an entertainment programme. Today, the location of entertainment may be different from that of the meeting, but that was not the case in historical times. The entertainment programme would take place in the Raj darbaar itself.
