I have posted a few songs from “Shabnam” (1964). I just realised that there was another movie of the same name as early as 1949. This movie had Dilip Kumar and Kamini Kaushal in lead roles.

“Mela” (1948) is a very old movie which had two raw actors, viz Dilip Kumar and Nargis, in lead roles. This movie turned out to be a hit and that certainly hepled their careers.

I have been posting songs from “Nadiya Ke paar” (1948) these days. Those were the days when none of the singinging legends had become legends. For instance, Rafi had yet to become the hottest male playback singer of the era.
