Blog 10-Year Challenge (2013-2023) – Song No. 18

The blog clocked five, six and five posts respectively on the first three days of this month ten year back in the year 2013.
However on the fourth day it took a ‘slight dip’ and four posts were posted on 04th February’2013.

In this post I once again present a song from the year 1947. Ever since I became aware that in this year 1947 there were maximum number of movies released in a single year, and this record was only broken in the year 1985 (reference Shri Arunkumar ji’s post on the blog) I have become curious to go through the songs of 1947. Today’s song is from an obscure film Doli-1947.
It is on record that the year 1947 produced a record number of Hindi films -181, till that year. This record was beaten only by number of Hindi films made in 1985 -187 films ! It means that the 1947 record remained unbeaten for 54 years, from the advent of talkie films in 1931. The historians, however agree that though the total number of Hindi films was 181 in 1947, films with good story, acting, direction or good music were not too many.
